Janet Anderson, Executive Minister St. James A.M.E. Church, San Jose CA.

I was hosting a Women's Conference at our church in San Jose.  I asked Evangelist Leisa Wynn-Johnson if she would minister at the event.  Evangelist Johnson came and spoke to the conference with such a connecting power through her testimony and encouragement to the women of how God had brought her through situations in her own life.  Her presentation was extremely powerful and impacted all of the women at the conference.  God definitely appointed her to minister to us and speak life back into our spirits.

Leisa Wynn- Johnson is a very profound speaker. I have had an opportunity to hear her speak on various occasions on a variety of topics including domestic violence. She is not only a survivor of domestic abuse but is very knowledgeable in the subject matter. In the delivery of her message of hope it is very evident that she has studied and researched and is very passionate about her desire to help other women escape domestic violence and be whole again. She has a desire to help women of all walks of life and backgrounds get the help they need and realize their self-worth.  I have had the awesome opportunity to experience one of her “Day of Beauty” events for women and children of domestic violence, where they are invited to come and be served a meal and receive clothes, shoes and gifts and hear testimonies of other survivors and words of healing, hope and encouragement.  Leisa has a heart for people and has a powerful testimony that she transparently shares to let others know that they too can be an overcomer.

My involvement with Sister-to-Sister and the Leader, Mrs. Leisa Wynn-Johnson, has given me a new outlook on how much an organization can provide hope and restore ones faith in other women and in a community. This organization showed me just how effective we could be when we keep God first and truly work together. I have met some incredible women through this awesome organization/ministry.  During a very difficult time in my life, I felt comfortable sharing my struggles and often sought Mrs. Leisa Wynn-Johnson for her advice both personally and professionally.  She prayed with me, cried with me and provided words of comfort only a true sister can provide.  I know this organization has been established to help women such as myself get through some hard times, feel better about themselves and know they are not alone.  This organization was placed in my life for a - women need women!  My involvement with this organization will continue as I use this ministry to encourage my sisters everywhere

On behalf of the Northern California First Jurisdiction under the Leadership of Bishop Albert Galbraith Jr., I
would like to commend you for you informative workshop presentation “Ministering to Abused Women”, on
June 9th, 2016 in our 70th Annual Holy Convocation. The information was relevant, informative, and
instructional for all church and community leaders who attended the workshop for enhancing their community
and social services.
Your practical information combined with your personal story had a great emotional impact on everyone at the
workshop. The community of faith responded by sharing some of their stories and asking relevant questions
concerning domestic violence, especially to women.
Personally I was deeply touched and motivated to more to be aware of the signs of abuse and help those that have been in
abusive relationships. I also know that I have you and your community services and expertise in this field to call on in
times of need.
I cannot thank you enough for your heartfelt and compassionate work in this subject matter that is affecting communities
all across our Nation. Our prayers and thoughts will be going up for you as you minister to our communities.
